I typically fill a plastic water bottle with Johnnie Walker Black. Ive done the same with a two liter soda bottle and a nice Cabernet on backpacking trips not very elegant but it reduces the weight

This is the flask I purchased over the summer - have only used water in since it's been so hot...do expect it to keep me warm this winter though.
