Offered here is an antique cast bronze or brass, or possibly gilt iron, finial. I'm assuming that its meant as a lamp finial, but it might also be a curtain rod finial. The style is Baroque/Rococo and depicts two Venetian/Italian style fish/dolphin/sea serpents on opposite sides of a stylized motif that terminates in a crown. I am unable to confirm an exact age and place of origin but my guess is late 19th to early 20th century Europe, although it could be a bit older. This is
Condition:
Overall good condition for age. Threads on bolt are clean and well-defined. Beautiful patina on surface (see pictures). Some of the original gilt surface has rubbed away, but I think this only adds to its look. No cracks or dings.

4.25" tall, excluding bolt - which adds another 0.5"
Threaded bolt is just under 0.25" in diameter
