Made it out last Friday afternoon in the heat to throw the long rod at some bass. The weapon of the day was the Todd's wiggle minnow. This is the first time I've thrown this pattern and I have to say that I like it. It's like a little crankbait for a fly rod. This particular model was tied by by a friend in a fire tiger pattern. I caught about 15 or so bass in a few hours, they really wanted to murder this fly. I didn't land anything big on the day, but I had some follows and some blow ups from some big boys. It's amazing how active the bass are in the dead of summer in these creeks.
