If I lived in Embarrass and wanted to fish small streams for trout, I'd be driving cross country SE toward the Cloquet River watershed. But there are trout in streams that the DNR hasn't listed yet, and maybe you're fishing some of those.

I get down that way now and then, also some of the brookie creeks between Finland and Grand Marais. Enjoying this site, glad I found it.
