I kinda enjoy the quiet now and then.

I'm busy tying sakasa kebari for the new season. Researching new material on the history of tenkara, investigating Shugendo, soon I will begin to twist my own fly (tenkara) lines. I have been taught how.

Oh, I have a three piece six foot six inch bamboo pack rod being made for me, it is almost finished and it is a masterpiece. It is absolutely gorgeous ammonia toned beauty made by Steve Kiley.

I will backpack high into the mountains this year and send loops with it.

Plenty going on here.

Gus will get the place whipped into shape soon enough...


I am so excited about fishing this year.

It sounds as if you have been busy.

Ok, Steve made three, mine is to my spec.

Amonia toned (dark cane), black thread with silver tipping, black oversized agate stripping guide, petite handle with cork rings of my choice. A rod maker making it for another rod maker.

There is a thread at grassart.net of it's construction where we all got to watch the rod being made.

I will ask Steve if I can post images.

Umm, for some, pictures of it being made are almost as good as pictures of it finished.
