A Small Stream 12/23

While today was not the best of days to flyfish, but having the time I ventured out.

The air temps were 15 degrees and the water temps 36, but the woods and the water were sparkling.

I fished nymphs and buggers and was rewarded with some bumps and a few hookups, with only one coming to pose.

Enjoy the peace and solitude of this beautiful wild trout stream in Connecticut.

About 2 weeks ago I hooked a brookie here on a dry fly.

Spaghetti with clam sauce, and garlic bread.

The peace and tranquility are reason enough to fish this time of year.

The only tracks in the snow are deer and rabbit.

I truly love this time.

So, you have snow in time for white Christmas :) .
One of the reasons I enjoy your posts very much is that I can clearly see the changes of the seasons in the beautiful forest in Conneticut. Great pics as usual. Thank you for posting.
