E & J B - MUSTARD POTAntique SILVER PLATED Cut-out Design Condiment Server / SALT CELLAR with Lid and Insert
This piece came from my late grandma's silver collection, most likely dating toearly last century. The maker's mark is on the bottom rim, E & J B (the E is only partially there) which stands for the E & J Bass company from New York that manufactured Silver and Silver plate goods from 1890 to 1930. Bottom is also marked Silver Plated. The design is a cut-out sort of floral design, and it comes with a well fitting white plastic insert that is designed to be taken out and cleaned as the pot is used for mustard or other condiments. (see close up photo of the marks)The mustard pot has a hinged lid with a little opening for a spoon (not included). It stands 3" tall and the pot is 2inches in diameter, not including the handle. It is ingood condition, has had a polish but didn't want to polish it too much in case you want the patina.
