Medium:Original watercolor painting on silk that has been permanently mounted to card stock and decorated with gold borders. The watercolor cannot be removed from the cardstock.
Size: Each full sheet (with blank margins) is app. 15" x 11.5". The image area is app. 10" x 7.25".
About the author / work:These watercolor paintings were likely completed in the late 19th or early 20th century. Each painting features various scenes of Japanese life including harvesting silkworm cocoons, weaving cloth, commerce, planting rice and other crops, manufacturing, book binding, leisureactivities and more. One of a kind find!
Condition:Very good condition - toning & some creasing / waviness to the paper.Please examine the scan.
