Very Rare Antique Boosey and Co. Bass Drum Parade 1874-1930.:

Up for sale is an extremely rare Boosey and Company Bass Drum/Parade Drum. It has "Boosey and Co. 295 Regent Street, London." Boosey and Co was in that location from 1874-1930 so it was made between that time. The paint is very good for its age but it does show paint loss along the edges. One interesting feature is in one drum head is imprinted "Made in the Philippines exclusively for Dr. Livingstone I Presume" I have tried to research this to see if it was made for a play or movie as a prop but nothing came up. There is a movie called "Stanley and Livingstone" which was originally supposed to be called Dr. Livingstone I Presume but that film was made in 1939 which is later than when this drum could have been produced so I'm not sure what the significance of that is.This drum is large at 30" in diameter and 19" wide. It is heavy and will be expensive to ship. Calculated shipping is being used due to the size and weight. I am not setting the shipping prices myself.This is a very rare drum thus why the price is what it is. Try to find another one anywhere.
