This is a rare old spool of gold metal tinsel thread from the early century.
Made in France by Vernie.
I traced the manufacturer to being in business from 1894 through 1930.
I unwound one spool and counted the length. Each spool has approximately 50 yards. Spool height is 1.25" or 30mm
