Two Vintage Hanging Water Gourds Carved Head Stopper Fish Turtle Bird Lizard:

Two Hanging Water Gourds with Carved Head Stoppers. A Fish, Turtle, Bird and Lizard are carved in the gourds.I’ve seen a few similar examples online. One says the country of origin is Africa, another says South America. If you know, please message me and I will update the listing.
Both gourds are round-ish on the bottom, so they would need to be supported by a ring shaped base to be displayed on a shelf.
The hand carved head stoppers are made of wood and were stained or dyed a dark brown color. You can see the lighter wood color on the base of the stopper where it is worn. There is jute-like cord for hanging or carrying the gourds and a second cord attached to the stopper so it won’t get lost.
Measurements: 9 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide. / 8.5 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide
