RARE GORHAM JAPONESQUE STERLING SILVER SUGAR TONGS HIZEN KOI FISH 1886 925 29G:

Here is a pair of sterling silver sugar tongs by silversmiths at Gorham Company of Providence, Rhode Island. They are in the Japonesque in Hizen pattern, patented in 1880. The arms are decorated in relief with koi carp swimming through seaweed. The bird\'s claw talons are beautifully detailed. These tongs are in excellent condition and bear no monogram.
