For sale is a Rare! and unique Antique 18TH Century blacksmith Hand Wrought Iron Pennsylvania keyhole spatula with a primitive fish decoration in the middle section of the handle. The spade features the classic key hole form. The end of the handle also features an elegant rattail hook with a wrought iron ring.
The spade of the key hole form is unique to Pennsylvania craftsmanship in the 1700s. All part is original and in great condition. Full of beautiful hand folding and hammering sign. Highly skilled craftsman created the decorations. A highly unique and quality piece that should not be missed by any serious collector of antique iron/ early Americana objects.
It measures approximately 18.5” long and about 4.5” wide at the widest point. It has very minimal surface rust and is straight when looked from the sideline. Great condition! Please check all photos for detailed condition before committing to buy.
