Lovely large, heavy Japanese patinated brass? Daruma holding a fish c. 1890:
$165.13

Lovely large, heavy Japanese red brown patinated brass? Daruma, mon on his chest, holding a fish c. 1890. Wonderful condition.
Tested with a magnet and its not steel (magnet does not stick), so I\'m going to say brass (could be bronze but I don\'t think so). Difficult to tell under the red brown patination.
Beautiful colour, good casting, heavy, nice presence to the figure. Painted black up inside the base. Missing something out of his left hand – a small hole present on the top of his hand – probably a fishing net?
11 inches high x 7 inches wide (28cm high x 17.5cm wide)Very good condition commensurate with age - photographs form part of the description please study them carefully
If ever the postage is less than the stated I will always refund the difference
