Checkout this very nice old vintage, hand-built, wood, model, toy boat, or pondyacht, hull.
Thewood and the brass hardware of the boat are in nice, solid condition overall,it has some signs of age, with expected wear. It needs a good cleaning andpolishing. However, compared to similar yachts from the era, what’s there is inpretty good condition.
Thereis no maker’s name that we can find. It might be hand-made.
Thehull is approximately 12” wide, 10” high, and 38\" long. (It would actuallymeasure longer since it\'s missing its bowsprit - a long boom type spar thatextends forward off the deck.)
A heftyitem, it weighs in over 12 lbs. (5.5 kgs.) It is weighted- it feels solid, andsounds like small pieces are moving inside, when tilted. This is no wimpy lightweight!
Perfectas is, repurposed for a decoration, in an old-time distress/storm display.
Or,Make it your own-- A great restoration project. With a few added parts and abit of elbow grease, it will be worth $$$! (Professional restorers say that a$400-500. investment would increase its value to $1200-1600.)
