THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL ANTIQUE POND BOAT. IT IS A LITTLE OVER 4 FEET IN LENGTH. IT IS CARVEL/CLINKER BUILT,NOT CARVED FROM SOLID WOOD. THE SO CALLED "PIN & PLANK" CONSTRUCTION METHOD. A PREVIOUS OWNER RIGGED THIS WITH NEW SAILS AND POSSIBLY A NEW MAST AND BOOM. THE HULL HAS THE ORIGINAL '' ALLIGATORED'' FINISH. I HOPE WHOEVER BUYS THIS GREAT EXAMPLE APPRECIATES IT AS IT SITS. IT SHOULD NOT BE RESTORED. PS The last two photos a of a large 19th century "ship wreck". It is "pin & plank" ,carvel construction. I enjoyed displaying this as found. It called to mind the derelict ships that my grandfather would see lining the Delaware when he was a boy. I will be listing it soon of .
