John Gilbert Sterling Silver Birmingham Fish Serving Set 1860s No Monogram

An antique Sterling silver John Gilbert, England, fish knife & fork serving set.
Featuring beautiful handles with etched and chased folate scrolls.
Approx measurements:
Knife: 13"L x 2"w; date mark is R, 1866
Fork: 8 1/2"L x 2"w; date mark is O, 1869
Total weight is 283 grams/ 9.1 oz.
There is a small dent on one handle, surface scratching,
light tarnish and wear consistant with age.
Stamped on both handles with:
JG (John Gilbert) hallmarks,
Anchor (Birmingham)
Lion body (for 925 sterling)
Victoria head sovereign mark
R (1866) date letter on knife;
O (1869) date letter on fork.
This set comes with the original storage box, but it is not in great shape.
