Here is a beautifuland high quality sterling silver spoon from Corpus Christi Texas dating back toyears around 1900 featuring the ornate handle; on the front features tallsailing boat, below sea plant, then fish, crab, clam and other sea crustaceans.In the bowl there is embossed sea scene with sailing boats, ship, clouds above,the engraved writing is CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS. On the back of handle there isdetailed image of light house and sea scenery with boat and bird, below a navalanchor, oar, harpoon and tall tree down the handle. Spoon measures 5 1/2 inchlong (138 mm) and in excellent condition. On the back marked STERLING and hashallmark with the old mark of H on a pennant for Mechanics Sterling Company,which was subsidiary of Watson Newell Co.
