Antique Wood-framed Illustration of Gentlemen Fishing Bamboo Rods Circa 1860:

This is the way gentlemen fished in the 1800s, wearing expensive jackets, ties, knee-high boots and black top hats. The rods are unusual because they are made of overly long bamboo. The fishermen are casting for fish at the bottom of a dam crossing a river. The flora is lush as a variety of trees appear. A camping lodge is behind them as well as a hill with vegetation on it. This was given to the seller by his grand uncle. The frame is 9.75 inches wide and 7 and 7/8 inches tall. The height of the frame is .5 inch. This is a collector's piece that will fit in well with any setting.
