I have a very nice wooden pulley fromthe 1800s. It is oval, and the really cool thing is that it has atiny anvil stamped on the nut that holds the pulley together. Thepulley wheel is also made out of wood. Very heavy iron hook. Itmeasures 12 inches long and is 3 ¾ inches wide. The wooden wheelmoves freely.
This tool was used in the Kroenke &Dorschel Window Factory in Chilton, Wisconsin. We bought the entirecontents of the factory in 2001. We're now sorting through boxes ofitems that have been in storage since then. There are some reallynice items that would make great industrial chic home décor. Theycould also be used by an antique woodworking enthusiast. The onething that we can say for certain is that these are all originalitems manufactured and used in the 1870s-1900.
