Description Offered for your consideration is an antique two piece Fish Serving/Carving Set. The set includes a highly carved and etched serving fork and knife. The set is hallmarked, which I am unable to identify the maker, and is either silver or silver-plate. A lot of these fish sets were made in England and France, but without being able to identify the maker, I am unsure of the origin. Both of the pieces are heavily carved on one side, high polished on the reverse, and the knife includes a detailed etching of a man fishing. There are some piercing to both of the pieces as well. The handles on the serving pieces are monogrammed with the initials L.Mc.N, which is engraved in a fancy Old English script lettering, as well as having some carved detail. I have left this set as I acquired it, and have made no attempts to polish, with both having an expected level of tarnish. Overall, the set is in good to very good \'as found\' condition. There are no breaks or repairs to either. The knife measures 12\" in length, while the fork is about 9 1/2\". Combined, they have a total weight of about 231 grams or just over 8 ounces.  I am shipping this item via USPS Priority Mail for insurance and tracking purposes.  A lovely set for the collector. sales can be combined to save on shipping.
