A very nice antique original Sheraton Period cast bass door knocker, quite large at 9\"high x 4\" at widest. Acanthus and urn in original aged patina. Knocker was originally mounted via a bolt out of the back of the knocker which went through the door with a nut to secure. This bolt was removed a long time ago and four mount holes were drilled from the front for easy surface mounting. A heavy well cast early knocker in nice patina.
