Antique Hand Carved Loon Ice Fishing Decoy CollectibleVery nice Antique Ice Fishing Decoy - I'm told it is a loon but it may be a duck - either way, a great collectible decoy.
Well made, carved and folk art painted with a dark green head, painted eyes and decorative feather patterns on the back. There are little painted metal wings on the sides and metal spinners that hang down for back feet and attract the fish. Two loops on the back of the neck for the fishing line.
There is a weight embedded in the body on the bottom. You can also see the nice wood grain on the bottom of the body.
The Ice Fishing decoy measures just under 7" long. In very good antique condition.
Wonderful Folk Art Ice Fishing Decoy. Because of their smaller size, these decoys make great folk art collectibles that are easy to display.
