In this listing we are pleased to offer a large vintage needlepoint tapestry / embroided painting called "les plaisirs de la pêche" (the enjoyment of fishing).
It depicts a romantic scene that can be loosely attributed to the Golden Age (of trade and discovery).
The thread used is wool. The canvas is made of 100% cotton.
The format is impressive. This is so beautiful and in good used vintage condition- the only blemish I can see is located on the bottom corner of the frame(seems to be a small piece of the frame is missing). Not noticeable. Please see photo for details.
