Youare viewing a charming watercolor painting of two boys fishing by ariver. It is signed by the artist, Godfrey Hughes and titled, \"TheOld Mill, Christchurch.\" From the style and fading on the mat, Iwould estimate it was painted between 1930 and 1940. It is a watercoloron paper measuring about 9 by 5 3/4 inches. This is glued to the back ofa gray mat which measures about 10 3/4 by 9 inches. The painting is ingood condition with strong colors; no rips or tears. Some browning aroundthe margins of the painting and on the mat.
