Presenting a fabulous all original circa 1870 - 1890 carved, painted and mounted rainbow trout. Retired to Florida from Lewiston Maine many years ago. Reported to be 150 years old. This beauty appears to be a full body carving mounted on framed board. The trout has tack eyes. Looks to be a loss at the front side fin. Paint is bright and original. Lots of character with knot holes, nails and voids. There are 2 holes at the top frame indicating once hung. Measures 26” overall with the fish 20”.
