From Early 1800's an antique well used Primitive Game Hunt Board Rack with original oxblood red paint. Used for hanging game, drying herbs or displaying pewter tankards or other kitchen tools. Plenty of wear evident and lots of shrinkage lines to the wood, but still strong and sturdy and heavy. It's made of one thick board of walnut that was hand carved with an undulating shape to the edges. It has 5 hand forged wrought iron hooks embedded into the wood and turned over on the back of the rack (one hook missing at one end). There are two hanging holes at either end of the rack. Shows plenty of wear overall to the wood grain with expected shrinkage lines.Size: 18" long x 7" high x 3/4" thickThe largest hook project out 1-1/2" from the surface of the board.
