A very rare, absolutely stunning early 19th Century antique New Zealand Maori fishing lure in the most superb dusty, untouched, original condition you could hope for. This is the finest, most beautiful example I have ever seen and has to be one of my favourite treasures. The wooden body is affixed with an ancient collection label marked with a handwritten ink inscription in typical style of the period relating to the piece and its date of collection, itmeasures approximately 5 inches in length, 1 inch across the body at the widest point, you will not see another like this.Please see my other sales for more quality items currently for sale from my lifelong collection.
