Old hand painted, hand made steamer warship- the USS Oregon, which saw service in the Spanish-American war. Was the fastest ship in the U.S fleet in the battle of Santiago De Cuba due to the crew’s skill and experience.
Very detailed work of art. Metal portholes. Tin captain’s quarters with real windows, not painted. Rotating turrets. Two hand carved row boats. Hand crafted spotlights and bells. Solid wood hull. Parts on ship easily assemble/disassemble. Paint has some fine crazing, showing signs of it’s age. Missing two smaller turrets and one turret barrel(both made of wood). Some cracks, chips, and bent pieces here and there. Wood propellers have some missing fins. Possible other small pieces/trim missing. This fine display of craftsmanship deserves to be restored, best offer takes it.
Comes with a small bag of miscellaneous parts, including some small chains that I haven’t figured out where they go. Boat hull is solid and weighs about 50 lbs. Extreme measures will be taken to ship safely.
