Description

Offered for sale is a 19th Century American Folk Art Pastel Painting. Original Lemon GiltFrame; very wavy glass with striations, air bubbles and a lot of character.Depicts three men fishing in a boat on a stream. Thepastel is in excellent condition, no damage noted and thecolors are rich as if they were just painted.

Frame measurements are 26” wide, 20 1/2” tall and is 1 1/2” thick. Original lemon gilt finish, notation of approx 4 areas of minor losses to gesso overlay, corner separations. Reframed intoitsoriginal frame with new backing.

Provenance: Salem, NJ collection, the previous owner was active in the towns historical society
