This is a rare 19th century Japanese platter measuring 20x16 inches. It is handpainted and features a fish border and has staple repairs, adding to its unique character. The signature on the platter indicates its origin in Japan , with FUKAGAWA being the maker . This piece is a scarce shape, making it a valuable addition to any collection.
It is a very large size as well at 20x16”. Beautifully executed painting. Old staple repairs to stop a hairline crack from running any further. One small break which needs regluing where my finger is in the picture. A real showpiece for a quality Japanese porcelain collection.
