Hello and Welcome ! Today, the listing is thisAUTHENTIC, 19TH C, ANTIQUE, NEW OLD STOCK, S. H. BURNS, 18K OVER STERLING, CROCHET HOOK AND HOLDER WITH THE ORIGINAL PRESENTATION BOX. THE HOOK HOLDER HAS A LOVELY ETCHED SCROLL DESIGN COMPLETELY AROUND THE HOLDER. THERE IS SOME MINOR SURFACE WEAR TO THE 18K OVERLAY AT THE TIP OF THE HOLDER. THERE ARE TWO AMAZING THINGS ABOUT THIS ITEM. 1. THERE ARE FOUR ADDITIONAL HOOKS FOUND INSIDE THE METAL TUBE THAY SLIPS INSIDE THE HOLDER, AND 2. A LEFT TURN OF THE CAP AT THE END OF THE HOLDER WILL RELEASE THE WORKING HOOK, AND REVERSE TURN TIGHTENS IT INSTANYLY. HOOK SIZES INCLUDE SIZE 5, 7, 9, 10 AND 12. IT COMES IN THE ORIGINAL BOX WITH A PLUSH PURPLE VELVET BED. THE BOX IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION SHEET. I HAVE ALSO INCLUED A COPY OF THE COLOR BROCHURE OF ALL THE STYLES AND TYPES OF CROCHET HOOKS THAT WERE OFFERED AT THE TIME AND THAT THE SALESMAN WOULD CARRY. IT IS AN INTERESTING PIECE OF HISTORY!
