Description:It is anauthentic antique map approximately 147 years old from Arnold Guyot'sPhysical Geography, publishedin New York by Scribner, Armstrong & Co., 1873. The map is dated 1872 along with the publishing details in the bottom margin. It was designed by Sandoz & Krumholz as stated in the bottom left margin. A copy of the title page is included. It is being sold as a loose map, not mounted, matted nor framed, as seen in the main pic photographed against a dark background.Abeautifulmap with nice color and an antique appearance worthy of a beach house, surfs up!
Size:The map image between the neat linesmeasures approximately 11 by 17 1/2 inches (28x43cm)on a 12 3/4 by 19 1/2" (32x50cm)page as seen in the main pic.
Condition:It is in Good condition for its age with a centerfold as issued, text on reverse, printed on a strong page with nice color. There are couple of light handling smudges in the margins and slightly bumped corners, otherwise it is fairly clean, see the pics for more on condition. Overall a rich antique patina that some desire with some rare details that are not commonly found. The picsare of the actual map.
