10" Medina Brass Articulated Fish c. 1900:
$99.22

A 10" long "Medina" Brass Articulated Fish c. 1900.

Most likely made in India or in North Africa in the late 19th, early 20th Centuries. The name of these fish derives from the "SS Medina" which was sunk by a German torpedo in 1917. Amongst the cargo were a box of six of these fish which belonged to the ex-Governor of Calcutta, Lord Carmichael.

In terms of condition, there are signs of slight rust to the lips/mouth. The articulation is stiff but the fish does retain movement as clearly shown in the photographs. Otherwise the fish is complete and as seen.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, I can always supply further photos upon request as attachments to any reply. I will send the fish out packed securely by Royal Mail Tracked 48, the best value postal option providing full cover.

My postal charges are charged accurately at face value with a nominal amount of £1 added for packaging. All of my items are weighed accurately after packing and before listing on digital scales. Although I quote a despatch time of three working days very often I will post sooner than this.

*Overseas buyers please note: I will post this item using E-Bay Global Shipping.

Note to all domestic buyers: I combine postage and refund accordingly. Please take a look at the rest of my listings and save me in your Saved Sellers to get regular updates when I list which is three or four times a week if not more. E-Bay Global Shipping does not permit combined postage unfortunately.

Thanks for looking.
