This is a very cool and colorful Antique Mid Century Modern Abstract Oil painting on paper, depicting a multi colored and vibrant Tropical Fish. This work is painted with heavy impasto, with the texture of the paint appearing to give the fish a wet sheen and lifelike appearance. I believe this may be a tropical Hawaiian fish, and the artist may possibly be a Hawaiian painter as well. Acquired in Southern California. Signed “Cailler ‘72” in the lower left. Perhaps you recognize this artist? Approximately 20 3/4 x 26 3/4 inches (including frame.) This would look great in a Mid Century Modern home, a Tiki Bar or in the home of an avid Fisherman.
