    New member from Southern IL

It's been a while since I have been on this forum, but I remember it fondly. I am from the midwest, and currently reside in southern Illinois. There isn't much in the terms of trout in southern Il, but I often travel to trout streams in other states and I spend a great deal of time fishing for about anything that swims. I really love smallmouth bass, and I chase them by wading and canoeing throughout the country. I also like to take photographs of river and lake scenes, and I feel it helps me remember the character of my trips. I have a blog if you would like to check it out.

Here are some of my photos to give you a perspective of the places that I fish.

    And of course the fish!

    Welcome
Do you ever get over to the Ozarks? Based on your screen name I am guessing your are near Carbondale. My folks had a place once on a small lake in So. Ill Spent a lot of time fishing for bluegill in your neck of the woods.
