I haven't gone up to either of the main lakes in that drainage. Usually when I fish there it is because I have a very limited amount of time. (For instance, like this May when I'll be there with my family to run the Bolder Boulder road race. We will spend some time in the park but that is not our primary goal.) There are other lakes in the park that require just as much energy to get to but generally have a better reputation. Some don't have trails into them. This trip report from last summer describes a bit about our fishing in the stream you describe and a bit more on fishing a lake in another part of the park. http://smallstreams.com/showthread.p...oat-Slam-Redux
Great trip story: Nice Browns and Cutts. The sight fishing on the lake sounds like it was indeed a blast...even for Randy!
Here's hoping that the fish make a comeback from the flooding.
