I've fished that stream many times, most of the time when I'm taking someone new to fly-fishing out or new to cutthroats. Last summer there were far fewer trout than in previous years---probably due to the floods from the prior year. There is symmetry in the fact that this stream introduced you and James to fly fishing and to cutthroats. Thanks for re-sharing your memories of good times, good places and good friends.

I had read somewhere that it didn't hold nearly as many trout as it used to. If true, hopefully it is as you said, a temporary result of the floods.
