The Catskills of New York is the birthplace of dry fly fishing in the U.S.
They have a very special way of tying dry flies, they are sparse and very delicate.
I have tied these in that style.

Very nice flies. In the freestone streams in the Upper Midwest I use a number of Art Flick patterns, or variations of them, tied just like this.
good looking flies.
How about Reuben Cross or Mary Dettes ??? Now those are the Catskill Patterns that I love. Even Bergman had excellent Catskill Dry patterns to go with his genius Wet Flies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of them still catch fish and still worthy to be in anyone's fly box !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice. I live here at the foothills of the Catskills, I'd know, LOL.

Some of my favorite flies, although if you look at some of the pics of old ones our's look very streamlined compared to them.
