I've looked at the 5'8" 4wt 3 piece, looking for something to backpack with and shorter than my Diamondglass 6'6 3 wt(which I love). Anyone w/ any experience w/ the White River Classic Ultralight Series?

I just bought the 5'8" 4 weight you are talking about and fished with it twice. I will be doing a review of it on my blog sometime within the next couple of days.
You can find a link to my blog in my signature line.
I ended up buying the rod last week, I could not find anything in that price range($119) in a 3 piece. I fished a couple of tight brookie stream yesterday. I am very impressed by this rod, it roll casts great, I could easily roll cast a #14 BH wooly bugger 15 ft. probably more if need be. I have had several short sticks(less than 7 ft.) over the years costing 4 times as much and this one is just as good if not better.
