I have missed the followup story by rbaileydav, till now.
I remember the story that he lost his camera.
And rbaileydav, you say the camera not only survived spring run-off of snow, but picked up by the friend next year ?!
This is the most amazing story I have heard about small stream fishing. If you tell this to Pentax, they would certainly use this story to advertise their cameras!!

I thought it would be impossible for me to hike in with a heavy backpack to such a place, as I'm in my early fifties and not in a very good shape, but if Mostyn, as he said, in his sixties after a big heart surgery (! :o !) can make such a hike, maybe....
Anyway, it's very nice to know there is still such a place somewhere on this planet. :)
