Have you ever heard of a pattern called The Animal, I think it's a Scandinavian or Dutch pattern. Looks similar to the bomber, alos very similar to the stimulator.

I have never heard of it, but I may research it and perhaps tie one.

I'm envious as well, it's a good few weeks yet before surface flies will be doing it for us over here. At least with any kind of reliability.
Always love the scenery in your posts as well.

I've just been tying up a couple of flies based on the "Animal" to use for the Grannom hatch this year, used snowshoe instead of Deer/Elk and folded it for a wing rather than cutting it, I'll be tying some following the correct pattern for later in the year though.. cool pattern.

Thats a productive looking fly. I will tie some up today.
