Hi Brk Trt! Just curious, do these fish ever look silvery or is that not a char thing to do? How much time do they spend in the creek vs. salt?

I've never caught one that was silvery, and can't say if they do change to that color. Perhaps a email to Mass F&WL may help answer that question.
As to there time in the salt I believe they spend time there in the winter and retreat to the cooler spring fed water of the stream in May or so.
I have hooked many brookies in that pic of the swift water, its right at the streams mouth to the salt bay.
