I'm not so sure about the latter,but like I said,close to home,not a lot of pressure,got to make the most of what you can get
without costing an arm and a leg.
Looks like it could be fun. At least you've got some free bank side to be able to cast a fly! The chub, perch, pike and trout should be able to be caught on streamers. I find roach really hard to catch on fly. Small nymphs/spiders are supposed to be the best flies to use. I find chub waaaay spookier than trout when fly fishing. If it's close and reasonably cheap, then going for a couple of hours after work is worthwhile. It's always fun discovering new waters.
