Although I'm still feeling the effects of a cold, thursday's warm weather forced me to a small stream. Bright sunny skies, with air temps in the 70's felt real good. I had recieved a few flies from Apache Trout which he brought back from his trip to the Smokies, one of them the Yellarhamer is the one I chose to fish. I had dressed the fly with floatant to be able to see its movement with the drift, upon reaching the end of its drift at the tail of the pools it sort of hung there. The first movement of the fly brought a quick response....... Hammer Time.

Its a good fly, and will be fished by this angler often.

A few wild brookies taken on the Yellarhammer

I made some chicken sausage with parsley, scallion, and provolone, grilled it and served it with pasta.
