Aloha, went fishing with my son Luke for father's day in Kona.

W caught a bunch of trevally, this on eis a yellow spot and are very good tasting, but we let all the fish go today. Luke likes to release all the fish. He has a kind heart, plus we have lots of ahi to eat.

This is a close up of my white. I hooked a nice 6lb bone, but he broke me off on the first run. Luke hooked a big surgeon fish, but it broke him off as well. We were invaded by snorklers, stand uppaddle boards etc. it got pretty annoying, so we had lunch hit the hot tub and then went to Lava lave club for pupuus and watched Golden state blow the finals. I am glad for cleveland, but I hate Lebig ego. It was a fun Father's day.

Next day went offshore with Kevin Nakamaru on the Northern Lights. had three small marlin in the pattern and got one to eat.

Here is Tom hooked up, his biggest fish before this one was a 40lb redfish. This kinda changed his view of fishing.

Then yesterday I went offshore in Hilo and hit an illegal buoy. Got 10 small ahi to 10lbs and one 20lb mahi. Saw a small marlin, live baited, but no love. All in all a great weekend. I am pretty tired today but resting up. I fish a tournament next weekend. Hope yo all had a good father's day. I love flyfishing with my son. Laterz, Mems.
