Aloha, got this nice 50lb ahi yesterday. Some great sashimi and nice steaks for dinner tonight. I am going to make this ahi dish with bacon wrapped around it like a filet. I then sear it is shoyu and poache it in white wine. Great ahi dish. Going back out for some bigger ones this week. Love ahi season, Mems.
Beautiful fish! Hard to say which is better, catching those or eating them!! Got a few down in the Gulf of Mexico in March. Good time! Just had some more for supper last night. A little salt & pepper and about 1 minute per side on the grill.
Now I'm hungry.
