Colorado fishing
I was in Colorado the first week of September. I spent 5 days back packing and camping. I hiked up about 4 miles into a wilderness area and set up camp. The main creek had three forks and I fished all of them. There was a mix of browns, rainbows, cutthroats, and cutbows depending on which fork and high up in altitude I fished. The weather was great with showers almost every day, but they were later in the afternoon or evening and did not interfere with fishing. I got soaked a couple of days hiking out in the rain.
I use an 8’ 2 wt so any fish can put up a good fight. The streams seemed to be up a little from the summer rains.
as usual the further up I went the better the fishing was.
every seam or hole held a willing fish
