Satoshi---Great account and thanks to Adam for following his passions--it makes a great read and is inspirational. I imagine that if you were to come back to visit---say in southern Colorado/northern New Mexico, that there would be a number of us willing to meet up and not just to fish but to meet you in person as a person.

What a fantastic post! I am just so envious especially of your time in the old thatched houses; all the photos are top class as well. Well done Satoshi San

Here in Christchurch, New Zealand much work is being done repairing earthquake damage resulting in near disaster for many small streams and our fish are suffering. What the new season will bring this spring no one knows. The good news is that our Dept. of Fish & Game has allocated trout for restocking as appropriate.

The very best mentors are very humble people. My favorite is a 1st generation American of Japanese descent.

Thank you, guys. I’m really happy to know you have enjoyed this post.

    ksbioteacher,
Yes, I would love to come to that area and see some of the friends in this forum off-line (and to fish, of course).

    heathcote,
I hope your next season is great. Even if it takes time, rivers and trout shall recover eventually.

Well done Satoshi! You want to make me visit Japan NOW, THIS INSTANT. I can assure you that though New Zealand is different your pictures show just as much beauty in the microcosm as opposed to our rugged vast south island mountains.
Here the new season starts on October the 1st and I plan to visit two small spring creeks, one has very large trout and not very many. The other has more fish but smaller.
