    Hi All

Hi All, used to be on here a long time ago and for whatever reason, kind of lost touch. We have a lot of small streams here in NY, but these photos I took very recently. Surprisingly this stream flows through one of the top 10 largest cities in the State. This time of year, you can have it all to yourself. The last fish is 17" the smallest was 13".

Nice Brownies. Is that first one a lake run fish? Winter fishing is the best. Your winters up north are a lot colder than here in the south. I'm originally from NH. I went to school in Rochester, NY where it snowed constantly from the end of October to March.

How are you fishing that fly in the cold water? I might need to try that tactic.

Hi Wizard; That is a mean looking beasty of a fly you have there.

Seems it was top of the menu on the day. Nice fish. Keep on having Fun. Jax

Wulff-That stream is in Rochester NY, Allen Creek to be exact, and it does connect to Irondequoit Creek which dumps into the Big O, so it could possibly be Lake run while the others were definitely residents. I was stripping that streamer in 39F water. Outside temp was upper 20's but it was on the heels of a big thaw and flushout, then dropping into a normal flow on the day I fished. Have found a lot of times that trout will still hit streamers in water much colder than all the experts say they will, particularly in midday. The streamer is my interpretation of an emerald shiner.
